Plan ahead for a temporary banking service disruption

Friday, November 13 at 5:00 PM CDT to Monday, November 16 at 9:30 AM CDT

To facilitate an update to our internal systems, access to most banking services, including digital banking, will be unavailable from Friday, November 13 at 5:00 PM CDT to Monday, November 16 at 9:30 AM CDT. During this time, SCU branches and our Member Contact Centre will be operating on an extremely limited basis.

Why is this happening?

We’re making investments that help us evolve with the growing needs of our members. This update weekend is an important step toward enhancing the banking experience our members rely on today, while building the foundation for new services, capabilities, and improvements that will benefit you in the years ahead.

Please keep an eye on your inbox as we will continue to share reminders via email to ensure you are prepared for the update weekend. We also encourage you to bookmark this page and check back often between now and November 16, to see the most up-to-date information and access support.

How to prepare

While we will be open regular hours, services will be extremely limited. We recommend you do the following prior to Friday, November 13:

  • Alternate payment method: Debit card purchases and ATM withdrawals may have lower limits than usual. Have an alternate payment method available, such as a credit card, or ensure you have enough cash on hand.

  • Payments: Complete bill payments early to avoid late fees or interest charges. You will be responsible for any fees or interest incurred as a result of late payment. Pre-scheduled payments or recurring transfers will be processed once our systems are online and backdated to the scheduled payment date.

  • Interac e-Transfer®: Send and accept any Interac e-Transfer payments by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, November 11, as the service will be unavailable during the update weekend. You will have the ability to accept Interac e-Transfer payments from other financial institutions until 5:00 PM on Friday, November 13. If you have registered for autodeposit, any transactions received during this time will appear in your account when our systems are available on Monday, November 16 after 9:30 AM.
