How to register for CRA direct deposit

Mobile app

  1. Sign into the SCU mobile app.
  2. From the Dashboard, click on more on the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select CRA direct deposit.
    ○ You should see the CRA direct deposit landing page with an explanation of what CRA payments will be deposited into your account. Select Enroll now to start the process of setting up your SCU account for your CRA credits.
  4. Select the account* you want your deposits to go into.
    ○ You will only be able to choose between Chequing and Savings accounts for deposits.
    ○ NOTE: Only eligible accounts that have been open for 29 days or longer will be visible on this screen. 
  5. Enter your Social Insurance Number and date of birth.
    ○ If this information does not match what is in your SCU profile, you will not be able to proceed.
  6. You will be prompted to authorize the request. Check the box and click continue.
  7. Review your information on the next screen and if everything is correct, click continue.
  8. You should receive a message on the following screen that our CRA direct deposit has been submitted.
  9. You may click the back arrow at any time to make changes or click cancel to stop the process.

Web browser

  1. Sign into your SCU digital banking through your web browser.
  2. From the Dashboard, click on Accounts at the top of the screen.
  3. Select CRA direct deposit.
    ○ You should see the CRA direct deposit landing page with an explanation of what CRA payments will be deposited into your account. Select Enroll now to start the process of setting up your SCU account for your CRA credits.
  4. Select the account* you want your deposits to go into.
    ○ You will only be able to choose between Chequing and Savings accounts for deposits.
    ○ NOTE: Only eligible accounts that have been open for 29 days or longer will be visible on this screen.
  5. Enter your Social Insurance Number and date of birth.
    ○ If this information does not match what is in your SCU profile, you will not be able to proceed.

*Accounts that require two signatures are not eligible to set up CRA direct deposit through digital banking. If you’d like to enroll a two-signature account in CRA direct deposit, please reach out to CRA directly.
