Glenn Friesen
Glenn Glenn Friesen, FCPA, FCMA
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Glenn has been CEO of SCU since 1998. As CEO, Glenn reports directly to the Credit Union's Board of Directors and is responsible for developing the strategic direction and operation of the Credit Union's business. Prior to 1998 he was President of Penner Foods Incorporated. Glenn graduated as a Certified Management Accountant in 1986 and received the FCMA designation in 2009.

Amanda Peters
Amanda Peters, BAppBA, CPA, CGA
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Amanda joined SCU in 2016, first serving on the SCU Board of Directors before transitioning to the CFO role. Her previous leadership experience includes serving as the Senior Director of Finance at HyLife Ltd., an international pork company with its head office in La Broquerie, Manitoba. As CFO, Amanda reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for delivering business results and managing organizational risk through the development and deployment of strategy in the areas of budget and accounting, financial management, treasury and investments, and knowledge management. Amanda holds both CPA and CGA designations, along with her Bachelor of Applied Business Administration (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology).

James Gosselin

Chief Corporate Sales Officer (CCSO)

James began his Credit Union career in June of 1984 and joined SCU in July of 1995 in the capacity of a Senior Agriculture / Commercial Lending Account Manager. He has held several Senior Management positions during his time at SCU. In 2008, James was promoted to Vice President of Corporate Lending and in 2017 expanded his role to Executive Vice President of Corporate Sales. Since 2019, James has been the Chief Corporate Sales Officer and reports directly to the CEO. He is responsible for delivering business results through organizational service delivery channels using development and deployment of strategy in the areas of commercial, agriculture and SME lending, including leading SCU's Inter-Provincial Loan Syndication Program.

Chief Risk Officer (CRO)

Tim began his career with SCU in 1987 in the lending department. During his career Tim has held numerous positions within SCU and was promoted to Vice President, Risk Management in 2008 and, later, Executive Vice President (EVP), Risk Management in 2014. Since 2019, Tim has been the Chief Risk Officer and reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for delivering business results and managing organizational risk through the development and deployment of strategy in the areas of risk mitigation and legislative compliance. Tim graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts, Economics degree (hons.) from the University of Manitoba.

Chief Information and Technology Officer (CITO)

Andy Alguire joined Steinbach Credit Union in 2007. As the Chief Information & Technology Officer (CITO), Andy reports to the CEO and defines and deploys strategy in the areas of data storage and security infrastructure, technology roadmaps, IT policy, IT support services, as well as facilities and project management office (PMO). Prior to joining SCU, he built and led IT teams at EDS, RBC, the Government of Canada, and a US-based contact centre. Andy is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1990 with an Arts Degree, majoring in Criminology and Computer Science.

Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO)

Stacey joined Steinbach Credit Union in 2021, bringing with her nearly fifteen years of human resources leadership experience. In her most recent role as the Vice President of Human Resources for StandardAero, Stacey led HR functions for all Canadian and international operations for the company’s largest division, which included 1,800 employees across eight major sites and service centres spanning five countries. As SCU’s CHRO, Stacey is responsible for delivering business results and managing organizational risk through the development and deployment of strategy in the areas of recruitment, HR policy, employee legislation, payroll, employee relations, compensation, benefits, organizational design and employee development. Stacey graduated from the University of Manitoba with her Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree specializing in HR Management and International Business. In addition, she has completed the Executive Human Resources Program at Queen’s University.
