When do I need to authenticate (i.e. password, fingerprint, pattern, etc.) a payment transaction?

Any payment transaction under $100.00 does not require authentication. You simply need to "wake" the device and hold phone over the terminal for payment.

In order for any payment transaction over $100.00 to be completed, authentication (i.e. password, pattern, fingerprint, etc.) will be required, and the device must have been unlocked with the last three minutes for POS (point of sales) or 10 minutes for in-app transactions.
