$15 million
Cash-back Member Bonus
It pays to be a member
This year, we're showing that it pays to be a member by sharing a $15 million Member Bonus. That means members get to share in our success with a 100% cash-back bonus. Thank you for your continued loyalty and commitment to SCU.
What is a member bonus?
As a cooperative organization, we are owned, organized, and controlled by our members. As a member, you get to share in our profits in the form of a 100% cash-back bonus. This adds up to a total of $134 million given back to our members since 2000.
Eligible products
Eligible accounts include Personal, Commercial, Agricultural, Charity, and Community accounts except for Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP), Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP), Promotional Daily Growth Savings Account (DGSA), Index-Linked GICs, Agrilnvest, lawyer and realtor trust accounts, unauthorized overdrafts, and temporary overdrafts.
When is the bonus paid out?
We will deposit all eligible member bonuses through direct deposit to qualifying accounts by Friday, March 20, 2026. It will be listed on your member statements as Member Bonus. You can log in to digital banking to view your member statement or view your transactions.
How is the bonus calculated?
This year, the bonus will be shared with members who held qualifying deposit and lending accounts at SCU in 2025. The breakdown of this allocation will be 60% to deposit holders and 40% to credit holders. That equates to an additional 3.24% on deposit interest already earned and 1.48% on loan interest already paid.
