    It only takes 10 minutes or less to get started, and you can share as much or as little as you like. If selected, we may follow up to help bring your story to life.

    If you’d rather share in person, simply let any team member at your Steinbach, Linden Ridge, or Lagimodiere branch know that you’re interested. 

    They can walk you through the process or submit a nomination on your behalf (with your permission, of course).

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Do I need to talk about banking or SCU specifically?
    No. We’re looking for life stories, not banking stories. SCU’s role in your story, if any, will come through naturally. The focus is on you and your journey.
     
    Will I be on camera?
    If your story is selected, yes you may be invited to share it on camera— but the filming is designed to be comfortable and natural. There are no scripts to memorize.
    A professional crew will guide you through the process, and you’ll have the opportunity to review everything before it’s shared.
    What if I'm not comfortable being filmed?
    That’s completely okay. You can still submit your story. If selected, we’ll discuss your comfort level and explore options that work for you. Your story may still be shared in written form. 
    How will my story be used? 
    Selected stories will be produced as short documentary-style videos for SCU’s website, social media channels, and potentially in-branch displays. Those stories provided in written form will be shared through branches and on the SCU website. 
    Full details will be provided in the consent form before any filming.
     
    Is there compensation for participating? 
    Participants who complete the submission form will be entered into a weekly draw. If your story is selected for production, additional details about participation will be shared during the selection process.
    What about my privacy? 
    Your privacy is our priority. Story submissions are handled by a dedicated creative team and are stored separately from any banking information. No financial details will ever be shared or discussed. The consent process gives you full control over what is included.
