SCU Welcomes Wayne Patram to Board of Directors
STEINBACH, MB—September 9, 2026: Steinbach Credit Union (SCU) is pleased to welcome Wayne Patram to its Board of Directors. Patram was appointed by the Board on June 23, 2026, in accordance with SCU's Board bylaws.
Board Chair Maria Reimer says Patram brings a valuable combination of strategic business leadership and community involvement to the Board.
"Wayne's experience leading innovation, driving organizational growth, and serving our community will be a tremendous asset to SCU,” said Reimer. "As we continue creating value for our members and supporting our long-term growth, we are pleased to welcome his perspective and expertise to the Board."
Patram is Vice President of Innovation at Barkman Concrete and a member of the company's executive leadership team. Since joining Barkman in 2010, he has played a key role in the company's growth by driving innovation, building organizational capability and advancing strategic initiatives.
A dedicated community leader, Patram served on the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for nearly a decade, holding several leadership positions including Vice President and President. During his tenure, he helped establish Steinbach's Economic Development Pilot Program through an innovative public-private partnership model and later served as a Charter Board Member of the Steinbach Economic Development Corporation.
"SCU has a long history of helping members and communities thrive, and I'm honoured to have the opportunity to contribute as a director," said Patram. "I look forward to working with my fellow directors and SCU's leadership team to help guide the credit union's continued success and future growth."
Wayne and his wife, Lindsay, reside in Steinbach with their two sons.
